Overview
The Cat F and Cat D Licensing Program at Action College was launched to support professional drivers seeking certification for operating public service and freight vehicles. The program was delivered across the Kayonza, Nyabugogo, and Rubavu branches to meet national licensing standards.
Curriculum
Split into theory and practical modules, the training covered road safety laws, passenger management (Cat D), heavy-duty vehicle handling (Cat F), mechanical checks, and emergency protocols.
Collaboration
We collaborated with the Rwanda National Police and local transportation unions to align with national licensing criteria and arrange supervised road tests.
Facilities
Action College provided dedicated driving ranges, real buses and trucks for training, and driving simulators for pre-road practice.
Result
92% of participants successfully obtained their Cat D or Cat F licenses. Several were immediately recruited by regional bus companies and delivery services.
